Board of Directors | Winter 2009 | General Assembly Meeting According to INGA’s Bylaws, the Board of Directors (Leadership Team) has to call a general assembly meeting in February of each year to present its Annul Activities and Operating Budget Plans to members for approval. |
Manu Kapapa | Spring 2009 | 2009 Men’s Retreat Under the leadership of Mr. Kapapa, special project volunteer, this event will bring all INGA’s men (18 or older) and friends together to share on an array of broad subjects of interest to men only. |
Valy Webster | Spring 2009 | Women’s Retreat Follow-up Under the leadership of Mrs. Webster (aka Maman Mapassa), Women Committee Director, this event will bring again all ladies of INGA together to discuss the role of women leadership in strengthening our community. |
Thierry Mukaz | Summer 2009 | Social Action for Congo (SAC) Project Under the leadership of Mr. Mukaz, Director of Social Actions, INGA is collecting clothing and school materials to send to needy families in Congo. The SAC project is designed to be a long-term social action that will touch alternatively all the provinces of the country, starting from Kinshasa this year. These items will be picked up from the local leaders’ places and stored in a garage offered by a member until their shipment to Kinshasa. |
Board of Directors | Summer 2009 | Independence Day event The Board of Directors (Leadership Team) will organize our traditional Congolese Independence’s Day event. This year event will focus not only on fundraising but also raising awareness of Congolese issues here in Northern California. We hope to invite some local or regional leaders as guest speakers to help bring a big crowd for a strong INGA’s message. If you have any suggestion in that regard, please contact the leadership team. Thanks to Father Crispin Ilombe who has already arranged to host the historical event at his church’s hall in Richmond at no cost to INGA. |
Calvert Balumbu | Summer 2009 | INGA’s Youth Activity Under the leadership of Mr. Balumbu, Youth Committee Director, this year INGA plans to organize a youth activities event to get the young boys and girls involved in the Community business. With the assistance of parents and family members, this event is intended to encourage youth to actively participate in INGA events and motivate them before the upcoming elections to be prepared to serve as Leaders in the Association. |
Electoral Commission | Fall 2009 | INGA’s General Election Under the supervision of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), members will go to the pool to elect a new Community President for the next two years in accordance with INGA’s Bylaws. The current President prevented by term-limit, will not run for his reelection. If interested to run for office, please make sure you are current in your membership due to prevent being disqualified by the EIC. If interested to serve in IEC, please contact the leadership team. |
Joel Bulaya | Fall 2009 | Grants and Fundraising initiatives Under the leadership of Mr. Bulaya, Grants/Fundraising Coordinator, in collaboration with the Treasurer, Mrs. Annie Zombil, various fundraising activities will be conducted to help fund our community initiatives. Some of these efforts, such as carwash will also be coordinated with the Youth Committee Director starting in summer in different locations where our members live. Please be generous to help support our community. |
Brigitte Muderhwa | Fall 2009 | Children Christmas Tree Under the leadership of Mrs. Muderhwa, special project volunteer, in coordination with the Children Committee Director, Mrs. Mimi Mandiangu Kimfuema, the Children Christmas Tree project will bring all our children together to celebrate Christmas the Congolese way on Saturday, December 5, 2009. The event will include diverse children activities game: role playing, leadership, songs, dances, and more. |
New Board of Directors | Fall 2009 | New Year Even celebration Under the leadership of the newly elected President, the new Board of Directors (New Leadership Team) will execute prior’s leadership team plans for our traditional community New Year eve celebration. As part of INGA’s tradition of inauguration and congratulations to the new elected leader, the new elect-President of INGA will also formally introduce to the community his/her newly formed leadership team. |
