FEB.18, 2006 MEETING MINUTES:
Summary of decisions made in the last General Assembly meeting held in Oakland, CA.  


1) The 2006 Activities Plan presented by Board of Directors was approved by the general assembly. Link to the actual page is: INGA 2006 Activities Plan

2) Creation of the INGA Advisory Board to support the Executive Board. Detail of the Board roles and functions to be developed by the Executive Board members who would also send an email to IngaNews@yahoogroups.com  to solicit volunteers to serve on the Advisory Board.

3) Creation of Local Coordination Council. To help the Treasurer in her role of collecting members’ dues and the Communication Officers in their role of mobilization, the General Assembly decided to create Local Coordination Councils. A complete list of regional areas and names of those who volunteered to serve on the local/regional board is available on the web at INGA Leadership Team

4) The General Assembly agreed to a monthly membership due of $10 per family and $5 for single or full-time student. A discount for a full annual payment for $100 per family or $50 per student; semi-annual payment for $50 for per family or $25 per student.  You can send your contribution to your local treasurer or you can send it directly to the general treasurer (Annie Zombil). 5) MEMBERS' DUE: How the money is spent?  
1)  INGA Association funds are used to support various community
activities including, but are not limited to:  
a.  Organizing diversified community activities to:
 
i.  Help bring people together as community.
ii. Expose our rich Congolese cultural in the American society
iii. Sponsor children activities including outstanding merit awards to
high-achiever kids in our community.
b.
Assisting new comers when they first arrive in the community
c.
Supporting many other good common community causes
 
2)  Our Responsibilities as members
a. Monthly contribution of $10 per family or $5 for a full-time student
b. Regular participation in the community activities
c. Volunteering to serve one day  in the local committee or Board of
Directors
